Help with Acorn

My Account

In My Account, you can renew materials, view information about your current library transactions, or change your PIN or email.

Information in your user record is kept confidential.( Library's Confidentiality policy). Use of your PIN in on-line transactions ensures that the record of your activity is protected via Acorn's secure connection.

When you attempt to change information in My Account, you will be prompted to log in if you haven't already done so. Your login is only valid for the duration of the current Acorn session.

Please remember to log out each time you leave Acorn.


Login/Logout

Log in to Acorn

You can log in to Acorn from the Search/Home page.

1. Enter your VUnet ID and e-password.If you do not have a Vunet ID please see the login help section.
2. Click Login to Acorn

When you attempt to change information in My Account, you will be prompted to log in if you haven't already done so. Your login is only valid for the duration of the current Acorn session.

Log out

1. Click on Log Out or Exit navigation button.
2. Please remember to log out each time you leave Acorn.


Review My Account

1. Select Account Login
2. Log in -- Enter your VUnet ID and e-password.If you do not have a Vunet ID please see the login help section.
3. Review or renew materials

The My Account page allows you to review bills, checkouts and current hold requests.

Your login is only valid for the duration of the current Acorn session.

Please remember to log out each time you leave Acorn.


Renew Materials

1. Select Account Login
2. Log in - Enter your VUnet ID and e-password.If you do not have a Vunet ID please see the login help section.
3. Select Renew My Materials
4. Click Renew Selected Items or Renew All
5. Click Renew Selected Items to renew your materials or Clear Selections to start over.
6. After you have completed the renewal transaction, you will get confirmation on screen of which items were renewed and which were not.

Change My Pin
If you forgot your PIN, Click here for assistance.

1. Select Account Login
2. Log in - Enter your VUnet ID and e-password.If you do not have a Vunet ID please see the login help section.
3. Select Change My PIN
4. Enter your existing PIN
5. Enter your new PIN twice, in the two designated areas. Your new PIN should not exceed 10 characters.
6. Click Change PIN to send information or clear to start over.
7. You will get confirmation on screen that your PIN has been changed.

Add/Change My Email

1. Select Account Login
2. Log in -Enter your VUnet ID and e-password.If you do not have a Vunet ID please see the login help section.
3. Select Add/Change My Email
4. Fill in the form
5. Click submit to send
6. By return email you will receive a confirmation that the address change has been made. You may request that the address be changed back at any time.

Manage My Alerts

1. Select Account Login
2. Log in - Enter your VUnet ID and e-password.If you do not have a Vunet ID please see the login help section.
3. Select Manage My Alerts
